Planning came first here: gazetted in 1953 as Malaysia's first satellite township, Petaling Jaya still teaches along the grid it was drawn on, and a tutor's week tends to follow those sections. Daytime work sits with Tahun 1 to Tahun 6 pupils from SK Damansara Utama, SK Methodist PJ and the SJK(C) primaries around Sea Park and Section 17.
Evenings belong to SPM, the largest bracket in the city by volume, fed by SMK Damansara Jaya, SMK Kelana Jaya, the mission-founded schools (Assunta Convent, Catholic High School PJ) and the Chinese-medium layer at SMJK Catholic. Sains Tulen subjects and Bahasa Cina carry the heaviest load.
STPM runs through the Form 6 colleges at Bandar Utama and Petaling Jaya, where MUET sits alongside Mathematics T and the sciences.
A second stream comes from the international schools just outside the city, GEMS in Tropicana Metropark and Sunway International School in Bandar Sunway (both Subang Jaya) and Sri Bestari in Bandar Sri Damansara, where IGCSE students ask year-round, while Foundation and A-Level cohorts at Sunway and Taylor's add MUET work on weekday evenings.
Most sessions happen inside homes and condominiums around Bandar Utama and Damansara Utama, so driving helps, though the LRT Kelana Jaya Line and the MRT Kajang Line put Taman Paramount, Asia Jaya, Bandar Utama and Mutiara Damansara within walking distance of a student.
Mall corners at One Utama, Atria and The Curve work well, and online slots suit learners spread across the sections.
