The role
What you will do
- Teach STPM subjects to a target band (often A- and above) using the MPM modular syllabus, with clear weekly objectives for each of the three semesters.
- Drill higher-order application questions, structured essays and case-style problems so students are ready for Semester 1 (May), Semester 2 (November) and Semester 3 (May) papers.
- Coach Pengajian Am (900) alongside electives such as Mathematics M (950) / Mathematics T (954), Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Accounting or Business Studies.
- Track CGPA across all three semesters and target the 3.5+ band needed for competitive local public university entry.
- Update parents honestly on grading-band progress (A, A-, B+ down to F), kerja kursus readiness and exam technique after each topic or assessment.
Who we are looking for
- A relevant degree (Honours or postgraduate strongly preferred) in the subject you plan to teach.
- IPG-trained tutors and ex-KPM teachers with Tingkatan 6 experience are strongly preferred.
- Deep command of the STPM syllabus and MPM grading across all three semesters, including Pengajian Am structure.
- At least 1 year of Tingkatan 6 / pre-university teaching or tutoring experience (Cambridge A-Level experience also valued).
- Strong written English or Bahasa Melayu for model answers, plus comfort coaching exam technique and time management.
- Based in Malaysia and eligible to work here, reliable and genuinely good with young adult learners.

Do I need to be IPG-trained to tutor STPM?
No. IPG-trained tutors and ex-KPM teachers with Tingkatan 6 experience are preferred and earn at the higher end, but graduates with strong subject knowledge and a clear STPM track record are welcome to apply.
Can I teach only one STPM semester?
Yes. Some tutors specialise in Semester 1 foundations, others focus on Semester 2 or Semester 3 finishing work. You can choose which semesters and subjects you take on.
Do you also accept Cambridge A-Level tutors?
